CUTHBERT, Ga - Following a series sweep vs. Gordon State on Friday, April 24, to close out their season series, the Fighting Tigers hit the road Tuesday to face conference rival East Georgia State in an afternoon doubleheader. The Cut Boys split the action, taking Game 1, 2-0, before falling in Game 2, 8-2.
The Game 1 victory extended Andrew's winning streak to three games, marking their fourth streak of three or more consecutive wins this season. Over that stretch, the Fighting Tigers posted a run differential of +16, their highest mark over a three-game span since Feb. 19-25, when they recorded a differential of +28.
The Fighting Tigers now have just one game remaining on the season, a home matchup vs. South Georgia State on Thursday, April 30. South Georgia currently sits in second place in the GCAA with a 13-13 conference record, while Andrew College sits in third at 11-16, having won three of its last four conference games.
Thursday's matchup will serve as the final regular-season game for the Fighting Tigers.
Andrew College is a National Junior College Athletic Association Division I school located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 16 sports and compete in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
