CUTHBERT, Ga - Coming into Friday's doubleheader, the Cut Boys were eager to return home and pick up a much-needed conference win. Off the bat of DH Haiden Schultz, he delivered a walk-off three-run home run to give the Tigers a 7-4 victory in Game 1.
Riding that momentum, the Fighting Tigers followed up their opening thriller with a 16-5 win to complete the sweep on Friday night.
Game 1
The Fighting Tigers got off to a hot start Friday afternoon. After a leadoff popout in the first inning, Andrew strung together four consecutive hits, capped by a two-run home run from CF Anthony Kradzinski to take an early 4-0 lead.
However, the Highlanders battled back, using a pair of home runs to even the score at 4-4 after previously cutting into the deficit. Despite the shift in momentum, the Fighting Tigers remained confident with the heart of their lineup due up late in the game.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, down to their final out, Schultz stepped to the plate and delivered, launching a three-run home run to dead center field to walk it off for the Game 1 victory. The blast marked his team-leading seventh home run of the season.
On the mound, Nicholas Sloane delivered a strong outing despite allowing two home runs. The right-hander tossed a complete game, holding the Highlanders scoreless in five of seven innings to keep Andrew within striking distance.
Game 2

The offense continued to roll in the third inning as DH Schultz capped off his big day with a three-run home run to extend the lead to 6-0. Later in the inning, LF Brady DeRosso delivered the knockout blow with an opposite-field grand slam, pushing the Tigers' lead to 11-0.
On the mound, RHP Brady Cunningham turned in a dominant performance, holding the Highlanders scoreless through six innings while limiting both baserunners and extra-base hits.
With control of the game from start to finish, the Fighting Tigers maintained their advantage and secured the 16-5 victory to complete the sweep.
