Andrew Looks to Bounce Back Against South Georgia State
CUTHBERT, Ga - Following a tough matchup against South Georgia State College earlier this week, the Fighting Tigers return to Hord Athletic Complex for the second of four games against the Hawks, with first pitch set for 5 p.m.
Andrew fell Tuesday, 14-7, and looks to bounce back before facing off against their conference foe again on Saturday. Despite the seven-run loss, former GCAA Player of the Week 3B Cameron Kenney shined at the plate, going 4-for-4 with an RBI, run and a walk in Tuesday's contest.
DH Haiden Schultz also launched his team-leading sixth home run of the season. The Fighting Tigers were firing on all cylinders offensively. Unfortunately, after allowing seven runs in the first inning, it was an uphill battle that Andrew was unable to overcome, even with their six-run seventh inning.
Offensively, Andrew saw several Fighting Tigers reach base, including Brock Falor, who secured his first extra-base hit of the season with a triple. He was one of two Tigers to log a three-bagger alongside SS Luke Meszar.
The Fighting Tigers face off against South Georgia at 5 p.m. at Hord Athletic Complex. Following Thursday's matchup, they will play again on Saturday as part of a 1 p.m. doubleheader, concluding their season series.
Andrew College is a National Junior College Athletic Association Division I school located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 16 sports and compete in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
