Andrew Seeks Bounce-Back Win at South Georgia State
CUTHBERT, Ga - On Tuesday, March 10, "The Cut Boys" will travel to Douglas, Georgia, for a doubleheader against GCAA conference opponent South Georgia State College.
The Fighting Tigers enter Tuesday's matchup following a tough weekend series against Georgia Highlands College, where they fell in both games, extending their losing streak to three. South Georgia is also riding a two-game skid following an 8-7 loss to East Georgia on Thursday, March 5.
With both teams looking to get back into the win column, Tuesday's matchup will be a test of which team wants it more. Andrew is currently 1-3 in conference play, placing them third in the GCAA standings. South Georgia, sitting in fifth place, is still searching for its first conference win of the season and will look to shake up the standings.
Despite the losses over the weekend, Andrew's bats remained hot and saw IF Jose Massanet launch his second home run of the season in Saturday's 12-9 loss to Georgia Highlands.
Tuesday's doubleheader will conclude a five-game road trip for the Fighting Tigers. Andrew will return to Hord Athletic Complex on Friday, March 13, for a doubleheader against Macomb Community College.
Andrew College is a National Junior College Athletic Association Division I school located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
