Mills, Akinlou and Goble Lead Andrew at NJCAA Wrestling Nationals

CUTHBERT, Ga - This past weekend, the Fighting Tigers competed in the 2026 NJCAA National Championships in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

The tournament took place March 6-7 at the Mid-America Center. From both the men's and women's teams, the Fighting Tigers competed and showcased their talent, determination, skill and grit on the national stage.

The competition was highlighted by 2025 Most Outstanding Wrestler Amantee Mills from the men's side, along with Emmanuela Akinlolu and Ariel Goble from the women's team.

Competing in the 117-pound weight class, Akinlolu finished in eighth place for the Fighting Tigers. She was one of two Andrew College Women's wrestlers to place in their respective weight classes, alongside Goble, who finished seventh in the 124-pound class.

The Lady Tigers also had three to finish in the top 12 of their respective classes including Azariah Martin (103 lbs), Katlyn Fields (117lbs) and Cheyenne Cornelius (131 lbs).

In just their first year of competition, the Andrew College Women's Wrestling program has exceeded expectations and, in a short span, has displayed what fans should come to expect from Andrew College Athletics.

Coming off his 2025 Most Outstanding Wrestler award, Mills was determined not only to place once again but also to help lead Andrew to a national title. Despite the Fighting Tigers not placing as a team in the 2026 championships, Mills found the podium once again and finished with a bronze medal in the 133-pound weight class.

As a team, the women's program finished 16th with 33 points, while the men's team finished 15th with 47.5 points

Andrew College is a National Junior College Athletic Association Division I school located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
