Men’s Wrestling set to compete at NJCAA National Tournament
COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA - The stage is set for the Andrew College Fighting Tigers as they head to the NJCAA Wrestling National Tournament, taking place March 6-7 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The nation's top junior college wrestlers will converge for one of the toughest tournaments of the season, and Andrew College is ready to test itself against the best.
Competing inside the historic Mid-America Center, the Tigers bring a determined and battle-tested lineup into the national spotlight. After navigating a demanding regular season and qualifying through a competitive district, Andrew has positioned itself to make noise on wrestling's biggest NJCAA stage.
Through a strong performance at the Gulf-Atlantic District Tournament, the Fighting Tigers qualified all 10 weight classes for the NJCAA Wrestling National Tournament in Council Bluffs, a testament to the program's depth and consistency from top to bottom.
Leading the way at 125 pounds is freshman Elijah England of Port St. Lucie, Florida, who will make his first national tournament appearance. England has shown steady growth throughout the season and now looks to make his mark on the national stage.
At 133 pounds, Amantee Mills of Dacula, Georgia returns as a proven contender. A returning All-American who placed fourth at last year's national tournament, Mills enters this year's bracket as the No. 3 seed. With experience and unfinished business on his side, he has his sights firmly set on the top of the podium and a national title.
Clint Gilbert, a sophomore from Lawrenceville, Georgia, takes the mat at 141 pounds as the No. 13 seed. Gilbert returns to Council Bluffs after posting a 3-2 record at nationals last season. With that experience under his belt, he will look to build on last year's performance and make a deeper run.
At 149 pounds, freshman Thawbaan As-Sidiq of Atlanta, Georgia enters his first national tournament ready to shake up the bracket. His aggressive style and confidence make him a potential early-round disruptor.
Jay Brown, a freshman from Hosford, Florida, represents the Tigers at 157 pounds and is eager to make noise inside the Mid-America Center in his first appearance at the national tournament.
At 165 pounds, sophomore Riley Brewer makes his second trip to nationals. The No. 11 seed, Brewer gained valuable experience last year and now looks to use that momentum to break through and secure a spot on the podium as an All-American.
Eli Brown, a sophomore at 174 pounds, enters the tournament with determination and the belief that he can surprise the field and make a significant run.
At 197 pounds, freshman Jason Brown from Huntsville, Alabama makes his national tournament debut. Known for his slick slide-by and offensive creativity, he will look to capitalize on every scoring opportunity in his first trip to the national stage.
Rounding out the lineup at heavyweight is the "Big Man", Joel Marchand from Mandeville, Louisiana, who enters his first national tournament fueled by motivation and a mindset geared toward redemption. Expect him to compete with intensity as he looks to make a statement in Council Bluffs.
With all 10 weight classes qualified and a mix of veteran leadership and hungry newcomers, the Fighting Tigers head to nationals prepared to compete with confidence and purpose.
The NJCAA National Tournament is a grind. Two days of high-level competition where bonus points, resilience and recovery are just as important as technique. Every match matters, and every advancement point could make the difference in team placement.

Andrew College is a National Junior College Athletic Association Division I school located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
