Bio

Kanandus Walker enters his first year as the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Andrew College.

Prior to joining the athletics staff at Andrew College, Walker spent the previous 14 years in Arizona, holding several coaching positions across the state. Those stops included Higley High School (assistant varsity coach), Coronado High School (head varsity coach), Alhambra High School (head varsity coach) and Campo Verde High School (head coach).

During his time in Arizona, Walker won multiple Coach of the Year honors and broke several program records, including helping lead his team to its first region title. He also guided his teams to multiple state tournament appearances, including the Nike Tournament of Champions, the Open in-season tournament and Section 7.

Walker earned his Master of Arts in Education in sports administration and education from Tennessee State University, where he also served as a graduate assistant for both the men’s and women’s basketball programs. He received his Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Georgia Southwestern State University and his associate degree in sports management from Andrew College.

While at Andrew College, Walker played basketball for the Fighting Tigers and led the conference in rebounding while recording 11 double-doubles on the season. He later played at Lee University, where the team won the Gulf South Conference championship during his first season.
