Andrew Celebrates Sophomore Night in Regular Season Finale

CUTHBERT, Ga - Celebrating Sophomore Night, the Andrew College Women's Basketball team came out with true Fighting Tiger energy, led by double-digit performances from Tiyana Snowden and Braniya Baker, who each scored 10 points. However, the Fighting Tigers would fall 72-88 at Jinks Gymnasium.

Head Coach Kelly Britsky started five sophomores in Wednesday night's contest, including Snowden, Baker, Trista Bennett, Mahassen Thomas and Jayla Hutchinson. The veteran lineup helped the Tigers get off to a strong start but eventually surrendered the lead and went into halftime trailing 43-33.

Despite a 22-point effort in the fourth quarter, the Fighting Tigers were unable to close the gap.

Andrew had four Lady Tigers score in double figures, including Snowden and Baker with 10 points each, Hannah Morris with 12 points and Aaliyah Austin with 11.

Wednesday's matchup marked the final game of the regular season for the Lady Tigers. As teams across the GCAA finish out their schedules, the Fighting Tigers will then learn their opponent for the upcoming conference tournament.
