Baker, Morris Power The Fighting Tigers to Conference Win
CUTHBERT, Ga - With a season-high 24 points from sophomore guard Braniya Baker, the Fighting Tigers extended their win streak to three games with an 86-70 victory over Central Georgia Technical College. With Wednesday's win, Andrew College improved to 11-6 overall and 3-1 in conference play. The Fighting Tigers currently sit at No. 2 in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association, trailing East Georgia (3-0).
Baker's 24-point performance marked her highest total since scoring 26 against Central Georgia Technical College on Feb. 24, 2025. In five career games against the Titans, Baker is averaging 18.4 points per game, including three performances of 20 or more points.
Freshman center Hannah Morris also delivered a dominant performance, recording another double-double with 14 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, including five offensive boards. Over her last five games, Morris has scored in double figures four times and is averaging 13.6 points per game.
While the game was highlighted by the one-two punch of Baker and Morris, the Fighting Tigers continued to play with a united front. Of Andrew College's 86 points, 30 came off the bench, led by Aaliyah Austin with 12 points and Kieara Lugo with 10 points.
The Fighting Tigers had five players score in double figures en route to their third straight win. Over the three-game stretch, Andrew College owns a +68 point differential with an average margin of victory of 16 points.
The Lady Tigers return to action Saturday, Jan. 24, at 1 p.m. against South Georgia Technical College.
