Four straight: Andrew Rolls Past Southern Union in Fall Finale

CUTHBERT, Ga. — In their final matchup of the fall semester, the Fighting Tigers dominated Southern Union State Community College 69-54 for their fourth consecutive victory.

The Lady Tigers have won seven of their last 10 games, sitting  at 7-4 on the season.

Through the first 10 minutes of play, the Bison were neck and neck with Andrew College, finishing the period down just one point, 14-13. However, led by Hannah Morris and Jasmyn Thomas, the Fighting Tigers built a small lead and entered halftime ahead 36-27.

The story of Andrew's fall finale was their dominance in the paint. The Fighting Tigers controlled the boards from the opening tip. Jayla Hutchison led all players with 10 rebounds, while Morris added a game-leading four offensive boards.

Andrew also scored 34 points in the paint and recorded 19 second-chance points.

After three lead changes in the opening period, the Fighting Tigers went on to lead by as many as 22 points in the fourth quarter.

Game Notes

  • Morris led all scorers with 16 pts and added six rebounds (four offensive).

  • Morris has recorded eight double-digit scoring games this season, including four of her last five.

  • After not scoring in double digits in her first six games, Thomas has reached 10 or more points in four of her last five. Over that stretch, Thomas is averaging 14.0 pts per game.

  • Of the 12 Tigers who played in Thursday's matchup, nine scored at least five points.

  • During their four-game win streak, the Fighting Tigers have a point differential of +83 with an average margin of victory of 20.75 pts.

Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
