Lady Tigers Open GCAA Tournament vs. Gordon State

CUTHBERT, Ga - On Thursday, May 7, the Andrew College softball team will suit up to face Gordon State in the first round of the GCAA Championship Tournament. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Fighting Tigers have faced the Highlanders five times this season and have been unable to secure a win. Entering the conference tournament with a 30-21 overall record and a 15-10 mark in conference play, Gordon State sits as the No. 3-ranked team in the GCAA.

Thursday's matchup will test the resilience and determination of the Fighting Tigers as they look to secure their first conference win of the season and their first victory over Gordon State since March 2023.

The GCAA Championships tournament will be a double elimination tournament. So, despite their struggles throughout the regular season, the Fighting Tigers will have multiple chances to shake up this year's tournament.

Andrew College is a National Junior College Athletic Association Division I school located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 16 sports and compete in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
