Andrew College Student-Athlete Spotlight: Isabella Lonergan Leads With Excellence On and Off the Field

CUTHBERT, Ga - Hailing from Powder Springs, Ga., Isabella Lonergan has immersed herself in the culture of Andrew College, not only showcasing her skills on the diamond but also excelling as a top student academically.

Lonergan, who is currently studying nursing, holds a 3.9 GPA and plans to work within the labor and delivery sector of the health care industry.

"Being a student-athlete has taught me that growth happens when you push past your limits—on the field, in the classroom, and in life," said Lonergan.

On the field, Lonergan has been a consistent bat for Andrew College softball, providing strong discipline at the plate while playing shutdown defense at first base. Her breakout game came on Feb. 25 vs. Chattahoochee Valley Community College when she went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored to help lead the Lady Tigers to an 11-6 win.

"Stay disciplined, trust the process, and don't forget to enjoy the journey. The early mornings, long practices, and tough losses all shape who you become," said Lonergan. "Most importantly, lean on your teammates and build those relationships—they'll be some of the most meaningful parts of your college experience."

Since arriving on campus, Lonergan has embraced competition and welcomes the opportunity to continue working hard and trusting the process as she grows both as an athlete and academically.

Andrew College is a National Junior College Athletic Association Division I school located in Cuthbert, Georgia.
