Andrew College Softball Hosts Georgia Military in Home Finale
CUTHBERT, Ga - On Tuesday, April 21, the Andrew College Softball Team will suit up for its final home game of the 2026 regular season against Georgia Military College. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at Hord Athletic Complex.
Georgia Military College is currently the No. 1-ranked team in the GCAA with a 17-2 conference record and 31-14 overall. This will likely be a tough matchup for the Fighting Tigers, but is just the start of a difficult seven-game stretch as the Tigers end their season on the road with a six-game road trip.
With just a week remaining in the regular season, the Lady Tigers would relish the opportunity to end their losing skid and once again find the win column. However, it will be an uphill battle as they will face Georgia Military College, South Georgia State and Georgia Highlands as they close out the final two weeks of the season.
Looking back on the 2025-26 season, the Lady Tigers had several bright spots come out of their lineup, including Michelle Chicas, who has been the team's consistent bat, along with Gracin Wilson-Bote, who currently leads the team with three home runs on the season, including her two-homer game on March 24 against Gordon State College. Chicas, although she has yet to secure her first long ball of the season, leads the team in batting average at .299 (29-for-97) and stolen bases (8), and sits in second place behind Wilson-Bote (7) with five RBI on the season.
From the circle, Sara Tindall has been one of their most consistent arms as she leads the team in wins (2) and strikeouts with an impressive 26 on the season and counting.
Despite their record, the Lady Tigers are a young team led by veteran players like Jazmyn Lang and Baleigh Prescott. However, with this year's foundation, the Fighting Tigers should be a serious contender as they transition into the Southern States Conference for the 2026-27 season.
