Game Preview: Andrew College Softball Versus Gordon State College

CUTHBERT, Ga - After nearly three weeks off from competition, the Andrew College Softball team returns to Hord Athletic Complex to face Gordon State College in a conference matchup.

This will be the first game for the Fighting Tigers since a 4-3 loss to East Georgia State on Friday, March 6. Gordon State enters Tuesday's matchup riding a three-game win streak. Over that stretch, the Highlanders have a run differential of +18, setting up a challenging but necessary test for Andrew as it looks to build momentum as they head deeper into the season.

Despite a tough start to the season, fans can expect strong performances from 2B Michelle Chicas and SS Millie Wilson. Both middle infielders have been consistent on both sides of the ball. Through 16 games, Chicas is batting .311 (14-for-45) with four extra-base hits and five stolen bases.

Wilson has been the defensive anchor for the Fighting Tigers and leads the team with a .371 batting average (13-for-35) and ranks third on the team in hits.

With a win Tuesday, Andrew would snap a five-game losing streak and secure its first conference win of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Andrew College is a National Junior College Athletic Association Division I school located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 15 sports and compete in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
