Game Preview: Men’s Basketball vs. South Georgia State College

CUTHBERT, Ga - On Wednesday, Feb. 4, the Andrew College Men's Basketball Team will travel to Waycross, Georgia, to face second-place South Georgia State College.

Over the last two weeks of conference play, Andrew College has struggled to find its footing, having lost its last three games. However, prior to the skid, the Fighting Tigers secured their first three-game winning streak of the season and their first since Nov. 1-5, 2024.

At 2-4 in conference play, the Fighting Tigers currently sit seventh in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association standings. With a win Wednesday night, Andrew College could close the gap with the conference leaders and tie Gordon State with a 3-4 conference record.

South Georgia State enters the matchup at 11-8 overall and 4-1 in conference play. The Hawks are currently riding a three-game winning streak, all coming against conference opponents. South Georgia also comes into Wednesday's matchup on two weeks of rest. Their last game came Jan. 21, a 78-71 victory over Albany Technical College.

Wednesday night's contest marks the first of two consecutive road games for the Fighting Tigers. Andrew College will return to Jinks Gymnasium on Feb. 11 to face Albany Tech at 7 p.m.

Andrew College is a National Junior College Athletic Association Division I school located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 14 sports and compete in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
