Game Preview: Men’s Basketball vs. Georgia Highlands College
CUTHBERT, Ga - Following Monday's 85-75 win against Brewton Parker College, the Fighting Tigers return to Jinks Gymnasium for a conference matchup against Georgia Highlands College at 3 p.m.
This marks the first of two meetings between the teams this season.
Entering the weekend, Andrew College is riding its first two-game winning streak of the year. After earning its first road win of the season, the Fighting Tigers are looking to add to that momentum and climb the GCAA standings. Andrew College currently sits fifth in the conference with a 1-1 league record. Georgia Highlands enters the matchup on a two-game losing streak, including a 76-64 loss to conference leader Central Georgia Technical College.
A win Saturday would mark the Fighting Tigers' first victory over Georgia Highlands since an 87-76 win on March 2, 2019, the same season in which Andrew College finished 24-8 overall and 11-5 in conference play.
All 13 of the Fighting Tigers' remaining games will be conference matchups, making today's contest against Georgia Highlands the perfect litmus test for Andrew College and what to expect for the remainder of the year. Monday's game against Brewton Parker marked the Tigers' final non-conference matchup of the season.
