Jonathan Gonzalez enters his first year at Andrew College as Wide Receiver Coach and Compliance Coordinator for Andrew College Football, joining the staff in February 2026.

He arrives after spending the previous season as the Assistant Wide Receivers Coach at Hampton University, where he coached and developed a wide receiver unit that produced more than 1,700 total receiving yards (150 yards per game) and eight touchdowns.

Prior to Hampton, Gonzalez coached at Bridgewater College in 2024, where he led the wide receiver unit to 2,500 total receiving yards (250 yards per game) and 21 touchdowns. He also assisted in coordinating a special teams unit that averaged 40 yards per punt, converted 83% of field goal attempts, held opponents to 50% on field goals, two blocked kicks and averaged 57 yards per kickoff.

Gonzalez began his coaching career at Eagle River High School in Alaska from 2013-14, where he worked with the running backs unit and emphasized technique, ball security and pass protection.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Gonzalez earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Alaska-Anchorage in 2017. He brings a fundamentals-based approach to player development and emphasizes production, discipline and execution.
