Bio

Demetrius Briggs enters his first year at Andrew College as the Offensive Line Coach, Strength Coach and Run Game Coordinator for Andrew College Football. A versatile coach with experience across the collegiate, professional, junior college and high school levels, Briggs is known for developing both offensive and defensive linemen while emphasizing a physical, disciplined brand of football built on technique and culture.

Most recently, Briggs served as Defensive Line Coach at Heidelberg University, where he coached two defensive linemen to All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors while helping lead the program to the No. 3 ranked defense in the OAC.

Prior to Heidelberg, Briggs served as Offensive Line Coach and Run Game Coordinator for the Tucson Sugarskulls of the Indoor Football League.

Briggs has also made a strong impact at the junior college level as Linebackers Coach at Georgia Military College, where he coached JUCO All-American JC Coney while helping lead the program to the No. 2 ranked defense in junior college football.

Earlier coaching stops include serving as Co-Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach at E.E. Smith High School and Defensive Line Coach at R.J. Reynolds High School.

Briggs began his collegiate coaching career as a Graduate Assistant Coach at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

He earned a Master of Business Administration in Business Management from Winston-Salem State University and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Briggs is also an International Sports Sciences Association Certified Personal Trainer and is committed to building disciplined football programs while developing young men prepared for success both on and off the field.
