Andrew College Cheer and Dance Teams Make History at 2026 National Competition

CUTHBERT, Ga - Last year, Andrew College Cheer made history as the first Andrew College team to not only compete at the national level but excelled as they placed sixth in the country. 

This year, the Fighting Tigers made history again, as the Andrew College dance team became the first to compete in the Universal Dance Association National Championships. The 2026 competition took place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World.

History is no stranger to the Andrew College Cheer squad especially under Head Coach Richard Watkins. After their impressive run in 2025, Watkins and the Small Coed Cheer Team advanced to the finals and secured a top-5 finish, improving on last year's sixth-place result. 

As the Andrew College cheer and dance teams continue to grow, it will be exciting to watch them compete on the national level. Under the leadership of Coach Watkins and Dance Coach Peyton Blackwell, there is no telling where they will rank among the competition in the years to come.

Andrew College is a National Junior College Athletic Association Division I school located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The Fighting Tigers sponsor 14 sports and compete in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Andrew College will move to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, effective July 1, 2026.
