Bio

Nick Trist enters his first year at Andrew College as Head Flag Football Coach. 

Trist arrives at Andrew College after spending six years at Savannah State University, where he most recently served as Offensive Coordinator. During his tenure, he also held roles as Quarterbacks Coach and Recruiting Coordinator, helping develop offensive units and student-athletes at the collegiate level.

Prior to Savannah State, Trist served as Offensive Coordinator at Middle Georgia State University, where he helped lead the program to the 2015 NCFA National Championship with a 33-26 victory over Miami (Ohio).

Trist also gained experience at the high school and postgraduate levels, serving as Offensive Coordinator at Crisp County High School and Palmetto Prep Postgraduate Academy before joining Allen University as Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach. At Allen, he played a key role in building a new program, an experience that has helped prepare him to establish Andrew College’s flag football program from the ground up.

A native of Savannah, Georgia, Trist brings a strong background in player development and offensive strategy. During his time at Savannah State, he helped guide one of the nation’s top passers, as Jhaydon Sullivan led the country in passing efficiency in 2024.

Trist earned a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies from Gordon State University. A former multi-sport athlete, he competed in baseball, basketball and football at the high school level before continuing his basketball career at Boyce Christian College.

Known for his ability to build culture and develop student-athletes, Trist is focused on establishing a competitive and disciplined program while helping his players succeed both on and off the field.
